The Cherohala Skyway begins close to Robbinsville, North Carolina on highway 143.  The 1st picture shows the highway sign and you 'll also see the sign for highway 129.  Deal's Gap, also known as the Dragon, is also close to here.  The Cherohala Skyway winds its way from North Carolina and ends in Tennessee on the Western end.  It is full of twisties and sweepers but was a little disappointing in the scenic overlook department.  The whole skyway is only about 40 miles long and ends at Tellico Plains in Tennessee.  The last picture is actually 2 pictures stitched together to show what was one of the prettiest views we saw on the whole trip.
